The Glorious Glider

Story

Hi friends,

I've been lucky enough to be accepted into the 2020 Birdman Rally, and am super excited to put my human powered flight machine to the ultimate test by attempting to soar across the mighty Yarra River!

As part of my quest I am looking to raise some much needed funds for the ASRC who are working tirelessly to ensure all asylum seekers coming to Australia have access to the resources they need to properly have a fair go.

It would really mean a lot if you could donate even a small amount to support both the ASRC's heroic work and my flight team on the ground in Melbourne.

More information on the work the ASRC do - check out this link https://www.asrc.org.au/

You are all more than welcome to come and join me down on the banks of the Yarra on the 8th of March, and cheer all of us pilots on as we either fly or flop our way across the river!

Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to the Asylum Seeker Resource Center.

Thanks so much for your support!

Lots of love,

Sam

ASRC Footscray (Asylum Seeker Resource Centre)

The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) is both a place and a movement.

As an independent not for profit organisation, we are owned and run by our community. Our programs empower people seeking asylum to maximise their own physical, mental and social well-being. As a movement, we mobilise and unite communities to create lasting social and policy change for people seeking asylum in Australia.

We assist over 7,000 people seeking asylum each year from our centres in Footscray and Dandenong, Victoria.
